Default H&R springs for the 91 crx, Sport or Race?

I'm TurboSI's little brother, hehe.

Anyways, the crx is sitting on Neuspeed GSR springs and it rides like crap! I want to change them, and so far people seem to be recommending H&R springs. The only problem is that i don't know if i should buy the Sport or Race version.

It's a daily-driven car, which will be sitting on 16-17 in rims soon. As of now it's sitting without any gap between the stock wheel and fender. What should i get to accomodate the 16-17 inch rims later on?

Thanks!

I got sports on 16's. They ride nice. You wont need Koni Yellow struts. You dont need a camber kit. They ride and perform well.

What do i need? I'm not sure what you mean.

The only other thing i'm confused about now is whether it's worth it to buy used springs that have been ridden on for 1/2 a year. Any suggestions?

He better not be saying that cause that would be

Get some decent aftermarket shocks that can handle the rates on the sports. I have Neuspeed sports and Bilstein shocks, works pretty nicely. With sport springs, any decent aftermarket shocks should do well. Tokico Blues or anything better will be cool...

http://www.shox.com for decent prices, too.

The race springs ride is very similar to the sports. But handling is quite a bit better with race springs (a lot less body roll). Plus after dropping with the sport springs, you can hardly tell its been lowered (especially with 16-17" rims).

You need struts. Id reccomend geting aftermarket ones with any spring upgrade but with sport springs you will not have to run say Koni Yellows since sports have softer spring rate and handle cheaper struts such as KYB's

Depends on which "sport" springs you go with. H&R has two sport springs and then also the race springs there are the "OE sports" which are like less than an inch drop (similar to that of the Eibach pro-kit) then the regualr "sport" springs which are like 1.8" drop and then the "race" which are the 2.25" drop.

I just went "race" and love it. My front OEM shocks blew the same day on me, but I'll just put up with the bounce for a while, but it isn't too far of a drop for daily driving. Mind you I just put them on less than a week ago, but There is a 1.5 finger gap in the back and a 1 finger gap in the front. Go "race"..."sport" is for wussies j/k.

I'm stickin to "race" b/c its just what I have, but I saw a Da Integra w/sports, and it was about the same drop, not quite as much though...
