My friend has a 89 civic dx h/b the front brakes drag really bad...and one of the rear drums is dragging as well, We suspect the master cylinder is not fully retreating.....any other areas we should check before shelling out the 150 bucks for the part?

 

Man 150 for a MC??? I just got a CRX si MC for 20 bucks
at the junk yard, and it works like a charm. Also new
they should be around 80-100 bucks but you get some of it
back when you return the old one. Where are you getting
this figure??

 

It was a friends car...and the quote some local parts store gave him....I will look into used for him....one from just about any honda will due right?

Not just any Honda/Acura will do. You have to make
sure that it bolts on the same way. Other than that,
yeah. Check the salvage yard.

 

just get a used one for the same car or upgrade to a newer and bigger m/c
