Default I think ambers are much safer

I installed pre '98 taillights on my silver '01 GSR. I like the look much better (my preference) and from a safety standpoint, the amber is much more visible. When I drive and see turn signals flashing, the ambers clearly stand out. I find the red turn signals much harder to see, they don't catch your eye as quick and easily get lost in a sea of red flashing brake lights. I must admit the all red have a cleaner look but I like the ambers better.

(This should have been a reply to the "98gsr with 94-97 tail lights gay or yay" thread)

i agree that the amber signal is brighter, but for me at times it is fashion over function...i still like the 98+

What did you do with your all red lights? I'd like to have them.

I thought about that but here in Pebble Beach, I don't think much about auto theft here. When I do drive to San Jose though, I do kind of worry about my GSR so when going to questionable areas or leaving it in a movie theater lot, I leave it in my friend's garage and we take his car.
