What does feathering the clutch mean?

Default What does feathering the clutch mean?

I see a lot of people saying to"feather the clutch" when launching...does that mean to Just ease the clutch out and when it catches, floor it?

It means lots of expensive smoke if you slip the clutch too much

are you sure they say feather the clutch because if you plain on doing that you might want to have some extra money for a new one but feathering the gas gives the tires a chance to grip the road when they are spinning
