Why do people hate on Maaco? Did you know most shops in your area send cars to Maaco when they need to be painted? A couple of my friends got a Maaco paintjob, and as long as you do some of your own prepping (removing all lights/lenses/etc) and have a nice talk with the manager, you will get a good paint job.

yeah thats true,
I was talking to the folks at one really highend bodyshop(they only do $5-12k jobs)
and they referred me to maaco/earlS/majestic
I think maaco was on the bottom of the list of those 3, but they said that it varys alot from shop to shop(not every maaco is the same cuz they're independently owned), and it all depends on the prep they do, AND if you talk to them about it, you can get them to do things right.
But yeah, i'm sure if you go in for the ambassador $200 special you're gonna get a shitty job.
but hey.. they'll probly at least wipe down your car with a towel before they paint over it!!!
