ACCORD DIAGNOSTIC CODE # 7!!! Please help!!
Does anyone know the diagnostic codes for when the check engine light comes on. I'm trying to help out a friend. He has a 94-97 special edition Accord. It's a single cam non-vtec. I ran the diagnostic system, and it's giving me <U>CODE # 7</U> .
If anyone knows what this means, please let me know so I can start working on it. Thanks.

I wanna say that code 7 is the TPS (Throttle Poistion Sensor) on the throttle body itself. To check for bad TPS, turn car to on (don't start the engine) and use a voltmeter to measure the voltage from the middle wire which is positive and use an existing ground to ground the voltmeter. At idle, you should see .5 volts. Now move the throttle rotor through its full motion. You should see a nice gradual increase in voltage from .5v to 4.5v. If not, then yout TPS probably needs adjustment.
this is one of the easiest things to find about honda's on the web....
google.com > search for: honda cel codes
http://tech.hybridgarage.com/tech/codes.html
that took me about 30 seconds to do, including this post
