Default Extented warranties

Just wondering what everyones opinion is on getting an extented warranty.

From what I've seen on this board, it seems rare that ITRs have any problems other than a bent valve or two from a missed shift.

Default Re: Extented warranties (jond)

I got the 100,000 7 year extended warrenty on my old GSR, total waste of 1200 dollars. When ever anything needed to be fixed, I would have to pay them up front, then if the warrenty covered it, they would pay me back. As for any problems with my GSR, the only reason I brought it in for warrenty work was for stupid stuff I did to it (i.e. hit a curb and bend the front lower A arm & shock). Its up to you, but I realy dont think it is worth it. And if you do decide to get it, wait untill you standard warrenty is almost up, then decide if you want to get it. Also I got mine from acura and I had to pay 15% up front they what ever was left over 12 months, so it was not a straight 1200 dollars.
