4th gen electroluminescent gauge install...
Hey, i finally got the parts i need to install these fresh gauges, but i used the search and couldnt find the wiring instructions. Can someone please hook that up for me? thanks
I installed mine yesterday, much much better now... tonight they're gonna be swapped over to blue like the standard one was before i removed it. The swap was incredibly easy, but then again i had the entire wiring harness and brightness control module. (And all for just $72 shipped

whats the difference between the old and new control module? I am using my old one and it seems to work fine

To be honest with you I never tried using my old module, just went ahead and switched to the new one since i got it for free along with it. I've had several people tell me in the past though that it doesnt work properly with the EL gauge setup. If I remember right, i think it supposedly worked for the most part, but it didnt control the clock brightness i think? or something like that.
well, i might need to get one because the turn signal indicators on mine dont work right. I dont know if i got a bad cluster or if it could just be the switch. Everything on mine works except for the turn signal lights.

Let me guess...
You turn the left blinker on and outside the car the left blinker blinks away but inside both indicators in the cluster blink as if the hazards were on? same with right blinker.

Yep, mine does that... i got the whole harness like i said and there's a plug with 3 wires that doenst plug into anything. All i have to do is ground the black wire from that plug and everything will go back to normal. If you had to splice yours in then i'm not sure how to fix it... i would imagine the same issue though, a grounding issue.
ah well then yeah that should fix it... there is only one black wire going to the extra plug at the far right side of the harness(plug has 3 wires total), but i dont remember if it has a line.... i plan on splicing an extra length of wire between that black wire and the black ground wire on the dimmer control module. Another guy did that and it worked so i figure why not.
