Default need suggestions building my h23 head...

I did purchase a gude head and decided i didn't want/need it for my turbo plans. Recently I took my head to the local machine shop to have it tanked, inspected, and reassembled. Come to find out what was gonna cost me 35bux is now costing me 350 due to bad valve guides&seals. Seeing how Im gonna have to dish out this much, when im already broke as it, I would like to see what my options are. KMS quoted me 575 for new Vtec Stainless Steel Racing Valves, Silicon Bronze Valve Guides, and High-strength alloy springs and aluminum retainers. One of my concerns is the vtec valves...are they bigger than stock h23 valves? I don't wanna have to spend extra money on having over sized valves installed. But if vtec valves are bigger then I might as well go with some .5mm over sized valves. And if all else fails I might just drop it on a used vtec head, and purchase some turbo cams.( Do all intake manifolds have the same bolt up for both h22 and h23?)
