Whats up jose. I posted the same thing a while ago and everyone pointed to the 88-89 teg direction. They said that it will work OBD1 also since thats just the computer set up.

well I know the 88-89 on will work but I really want to raise my compression.....
y8 gasket is metal and 2 3 layer...one layer can be taken out I want to bump my compression a bit......
so I might go aftermarket...

you cant use the z6/y7/y8/a6 head gasket. None of the sohc gaskets will work because one of the head bolts is in a different place. You could however rebore one of the bolts in the gasket so it will fit. Its just one bolt that doesnt work.
Use the 89 teg gasket should work...im not sure if its metal tho?
