ABS Light stays on, 93 Accord
I have a 93 accord anniversary edition that I'm selling to a coworker this week.
Problem is, the ABS light is on and it wont go off. Its been like this for a few months. When I first start the car, the light wont come on. Its only after I start driving and the speedometer goes over 15 mph that the light comes on and stays on. The brakes still work fine but I dont know is the ABS is working.
I took it in a while back to a friend who works at Acura and he pulled the code but wasnt sure what it was. I think the code was 1.
Any suggestions?

Hey man,
It sounds like a bad wheel sensor make sure that they are all connected and they are plugged in. When you check your abs ecm it should tell you exactly what wheel is causing this problem, Otherwise check your brake and abs pump fluid.
Good Luck,
I know ABS is extremely tepremental..

any update on that?
I have the same problem now. I pulled the code but the funky think is that the CEL is not blinking but the ABS light is blinking & giving 4 fast blinks followed by 1 fast blink.
4-1
anyone know what that means?
I have a 93 accord auto 10th edition too

On my '95 Integra, ABS code 4-1 would be the right-front wheel sensor. Look for a broken or unplugged wire, or maybe corroded wiring plugs?
But I really don't know whether your '93 Accord uses the same list of error codes. I DO know that beginning in '98 the Integra & Accord both used a completely different list.
Got a Helm book? It'll be listed in there.

if you have a code 1 only without a sub code you have an issue with your abs pump pressure,,,first thing and cheapest i would bleed abs system might have some air,, if that don't fix it you might have problems with abs pump or the solenoid which is located in modulator in which case you have to replace modulator expensive ....
to answer your question abs system will not work if lite is on, brakes will work normaly unless you are in a slippery road you dont really use abs system
3 things u can do /leave as is , fix it or like someone said remove bulb

hey yo. my ol' man's got the exact same car as yours. my ol man took the car to a local shop to get the rear brake rotors replace recently and the ABS light came on. i pulled the code and it says that the speed sensor on the driver's rear wheel was messed up. do you or anyone here know where the sensor is located?
