Thanks, I forgot to include that I swapped my dx motor out for a sohc so I have a different ecu. will i need to rewire?

No, ECU makes no difference.

the crx hf cluster may be a little cheaper than an Si- teh difference is a built in shift light & redline starts at like 5k

what about the crx si gauge cluster? will that bolt right up to the 91 dx??? some guy at honda told me the crx si will bolt up but does not have the right wiring. he said I need a 90-91 CIVIC SI cluster.

all of the 90-91 civic / crx clusters will bolt up to all 90-91 civics and crxs

yes, even the wagon (I have a wagon cluster in my Std)
Get an auto cluster if you have an auto tranny. otherwise everything is plug and play.
