Default Auto to Manual conversion people with slow 1/4 mile times read!

Hey guys Im starting to notice a trend. I spotted 3 guys on here who did the auto to manual conversion and are running crappy 1/4 mile times.

Im curious do you guys have power steering? Im wondering if the power steering is hurting our 1/4 mile times due to weight/hp eating

Just a thought

ya it doesnt seem to be making much sence.... and going from auto to stick with this kind of power it seems like your 'fast' but really 17.2 is slow.... i dont know im starting to get very frustrated with this car.

take everything else out of it.... aka interior, ac, heater core and all climate controls.

From what I was reading online it could drain 5 hp "Not sure how true" also the rack is super heavy.

I dont see how that can make any difference, just weight it at the track, though power steering does drain power, BUT you could just take the belt off and run it that way. You can do the AC that way also.

sometimes it could be a loose bolt between the steering wheel and the seat

i think all of you guys forgot to remove the automatic demobilizer module. that is probably why your cars are slow.
