crx type r??
has anyone ever swapped a b18c5(type r motor) into a crx? if so what were ur results??? good bad?? worth the money or not?? i really want to know kuz i might swap that motor into my 1989 crx si. need sum feed back... thanx!
I had a crx w/ b18c1 block, b16a head, and usdm ITR pistons stock bore. It was in a Si crx. The car was fast, but know I have a 91 si Hatchback w/ a type r. I would definetly do the R swap. It gives u a nice broad powerband with good top end power. The R in my civic is a lot faster than the the b18c1.
yep i think its really worth it, i have a b18c5 in my 88 hf and i ran 13.4 on street tires. and i just got a skunk 2 intake mali, dc 4-1 headers, msd ish, and thats about it ohh yea a an act stage 3, hopeing to be faster on drag radials. good luck and wellcome to h/t
kool thanks for tha info i think imma do it.. even though the b18c1 is a lil cheaper im questionable about its capabilities kuz my friends has one in his h/b and he got smoked by a b16 crx.... imma go with the type r instead...
