Default transmission options

what are the best options for my swap as far as transmissions go... i have a 91 crx and i am dropping a 96 b18c1 into it. do i go with the 90-93 teg trans and hope i find a good one?(cuz those things are getting old now) or do i get something newer and deal with the hydro conversion? and if so whats involved with that headache? and finally depending on what tranny you recomend, what intermediate shaft/axle combo do i use? i am leaning towards the 90-93 tranny cuz i already have brand new 90-93 teg axles and a half shaft.... and i wouldn't have to convert... BUT some how i think its going to be a real bastard finding a tranny from 90-93 in good shape..... your opinions please!

Cable is going to be the simplist, but sad to say is not the best. Hydro trannies last longer and are all around a better tranny. But with these old cars we have, its just kind of a pain in the *** to convert to hyrdo. There are a few wright up on how to do it if you want and HASport has planned to release a Cable to Hydro convertion kit at the end of summer or around that time.

If you want to keep things simple and save your self some money, Get the Cable.

In the June 2003( this months) Honda Tuning Mag there is a whole right up on this w/ pictures. Starts on page 60 and goes to page 68. it says it will cost you about $700 from Hasport.
