Default Congrats to "Rusty" Hannan

Our boy whips out the 4 door for his first points event of the year and proceeds to kick everyone's STS *** for them. This, despite having autocrossed once in the past 8ish months, driving the biggest, heaviest car in class, and being on a couple of tires that are pretty much toast.

He was winning when we left. Hopefully the time held up through a couple of cars in the afternoon group.

Nice work

I think he should leave the child seat strapped in the back seat for the divisional

Congrats Casey. No surprise that you would do well. Sorry I wasn't there to mooch a ride from someone to see just how bad you would hand me my ***.
Alas, next time I will have the little mule back in working order, AND with a steering wheel that doesn't want to pop off all by itself <shudder>.
You think they would let me run in STS with it?

>Karl, yes, it is.

Really nice of you to say so, Uncle Catch. And I'm as surprised as anyone else might be about my performance yesterday.... seriously. Having only autocrossed once since last Sept. I was prepared for the worst. Just so happened I was pleasantly surprised. Also, enjoyed co-driving with you and appreciate the advice about car setup, especially your thoughts on tire pressures. Going really low in the rears worked quite well.

Judging by the results posted late last night, it looks like I got nipped by a few hundredths of a sec. by one of those pesky Subbie Imprezas.... Funny, I don't even remember seeing one on the grid. Ryan's times don't look quite right, either, because I think it's safe to say none of us STS'ers got below 49 secs.

So, Scott, you ready to give up a little lovin' for my secksy family-toting sedan/truckster? No? I didn't think so. But perhaps you'll admit to finding it a worthy competitor.

great job casey. And no I didn't run a 47. I emailed back to the list and joel as soon as I saw that to let them know it was wrong. Someobody did beat you by a small fraction as they got a 49.1 as well. I can't remember the name but it didn't look familiar.

I still don't know if I should have been faster or not yesterday. I can't figure it out. We'll see if I can improve in 2 weeks. Looks like I'll be driving my car instead of the IT7 on talledega this weekend to break in the kumhos some more. Well maybe I can drive both.

edit: and casey, would you mind if I try out the 4 door family car later this season?

Thanks, Ryan. Great to see you again after my long hiatus. And trust me, I'm not really expecting to finish ahead of you too many times this season....

Sure, we can arrange that. I'd be interested to see what you think.
