Default Digital Speedometer?

I've noticed when I drive my girlfriends car (a Benz) it has this digital speedometer read out in the middle of its gauge cluster. Seeing the number seems to make me realize I'm speeding more so than seeing the needle. Does any company make a aftermarket digital speedometer? Or is it too hard and too costly to do?

Look in the big summit catalog, They have a whole digi dash kit, or you can buy single gauges. I don't know if it would work or not, But I would call and ask. It's worth a try. Theres another one too, Stack gauges, But I have no idea where to get it at. Good luck, If you do get it let us know...

If they ain't tons of money I may give it a shot. But I'm not exactly sure if they can sense how fast the car is going, cuz if not I don't feel like hooking up tons of sensors or something stupid.

Apparently you need a speedometer sending unit to make it work, which summit does not sell. So that perhaps side lines my idea.

Dgital is tight, looks great. It doesnt seem that hard I am actually trying to put the digital gages that display on the windsheild. My boss at work and I have one out of a nissan 240. We can figure out how to get it to light up but thats all. Dont know where to go from there. If you figure out how to wire up the diggy gages let me know how you did it maybe ther will be some usefull info and maybe we can help each other out. Thanks and I hope you get it to work.

Get a eletrical speedo froma 92+ civic. and then find a compatible digital speedo with a pulse count that is compatiable with the pulse produced by the speedo.
