<FS> ITS Prelude - Reduced
I would have bumped the original thread, but it's long gone.
We've reduced the price on the car to $15,000. This is a good solid car that we don't have the time or $$$$ to race. This Prelude would make a great ECHC car for someone.

Please no1 buy this for H3! Us GSR boys want to have a chance to win!
Seriously though, I saw this car at OPM and it very nice. The detail in prep is amazing.

Phill2000, It would be really cool to have another Prelude in ITS here in the Texas Region. My best ITS competition is a bunch of Z cars (old 240z and early 300zx) and I have done pretty well but my car is nowhere near as well prepped as the OPM Prelude.
Thanks for the interest in the car everyone. Now who wants to open their checkbook
As usual for a race car, we'll be losing money on this deal and someone will get a nice car. The price of the car is firm at $15,000. I sold the Chevy dually tow vehicle last week so we're serious about seeing this car in the hands of somebody who can spend the time to race it.

ITS Prelude
They work great if you can stop locking up the rear tire and don't blow a hole through it. Not that I'm bitter or anything.........damnit.
Good luck getting it sold Bob but please do not sell it to anyone in the CenDiv.

Kevin,
I talked to Nathan Bonneau about this little Prelude "locking up the rear wheel" thing they can do, but he told me that with a little track time he was able to dial it out of his Prelude (R.I.P.). I think another Prelude in CenDiv would be a great addition to the area
Maybe we'll see you at the ARRC again this year.

It only happened once - a couple weeks ago at Hyperfest during the honda-challenge race. I've got it figured out why it was happening though so it's all good
.
New job permitting, we will be at the ARRC this year. Hopefully I can find a couple more ponies in our new ITC Civic CX by then.

Actually DR, I already have a copy of about 2min of your in-car footage from about a month ago at TMS. Courtesy of David (white 3rd gen prelude). Small world, eh? And I know your competition too.....Jeff in the #91 ITS 240Z is a co-worker of mine.
Congrats on your 4th place finish that day. What happened on sat - it looks like something must have gone wrong. You were doing better than the results suggest.
Have fun fighting with that WC Jetta?
Anyway....back to the OPM car...I'd love to pick that up and work my way into racing in the texas region. Right now my only real expereince is autox and would like to move up eventually. Unfortunately I can't drop $15k all at once at this time. If that car or one similar is around later, cool. If not, the 93 Si shell I have now may make it into an ITS car, who knows. All up in the air at this point.

Yeah, tell me about it. After seeing "only" your lude in race trim for past few years, I didnt realize they could look so nice!
Beautiful car.

Just curious, since I already have an ITS Honda...is this the same car I saw Fowler run 2:15s at VIR Long in?
If so...somebody should buy it. Hell, even if not, somebody should buy it.

Nope, not the same car. In some respects the Prelude Tom was racing is better and in others ours is better. I think the biggest difference is that Tom's Prelude was running better shocks. We bought ours with the impression we had some whiz bang Bilsteins under it, but upon disassembly....
Was this Prelude for sale 2 yrs or so ago, by a trans-am/gt1 team? I saw a similar looking one in the Daytona pits at an SCCA national around then.
Yes, this is the car you saw in Florida at the national and was built by Flis Motorsports out of Daytona. One of the only times it was raced too. Before we acquired it, it did I believe one driver school and two races or the other way around. We did one track weekend with Chin Motorsports at Roebling and one ECR at Road Atlanta after we rebuilt it. There is very little time on this ITS Prelude overall.
Fun time while we were in Daytona as we got stupid drunk at the Ocean Deck. It was a pretty long tow back to Atlanta the next day though.

Hi. Could you elaborate a little on this locking the rear wheel (maybe in another thread or IM)? I don't road race, but I'm always curious about road racing Preludes (since I have a Prelude). Thanks.
