ok i just got a Cyber Kit on it about a month ago, and last night my friend rear ended me, and its going through his insurance etc....... he is at fault, and takes full responsibility, we had a police report, etc....... my only problem is im worried that his insurance company is gonna screw me over pretty bad.... my aftermarket tail lights and bumper is all messed up, and the passenger side quarter panel is all messed up..... i was wondering if i can tell them can you guys fix the whole rear, but not get the bumper and tail lights, and just give me the money for how much the rear bumper is worth and tail lights??? so i can buy the rear bumper and tail lights again....? please help

 

im also scared shitless that their gonna total my car out..........

 

just go out and buy all the pieces and get the ins. company to pay for all the work.

 

are you sure that they will pay for it, cause i dont want to get beat over the head.... i have put about 8 Gs into this car, other then buying it iteself...... im gonna try to find the reciepts for bumper and lights......... i dunno what to do other then that

 

just claim it for all the stock parts and use the money for the aftermarket parts.

You just have to make sure your insurance will cut you the check. Otherwise make friends at body shops have them write the estimates and when the money comes in tell them you want to spend it on the parts you had on the car and not to purchase the factory parts. just be carefull. About totalling your car The damaged caused will have to be graeter than 60 percent of the cars worth before they can total the car out. And even then you if they do total it out they will have to cut you a check for the car. After that you can purchase it back for usually it wouldnt be more than 500.00 dollars. i really think my car is totaled out because i have been told by everyone.. it looks like 3-4 thousand dollars damage, if not more, i have put over 8 thousand into the car other then the car itself. so it really sucks, the car itself cost me 4 thousand dollars......... im also going to a chyropractor or whatever u call them, and they made me get a attorney... so now they also want to sew my friends insurance for more money, i feel really bad cause its my friend, but he told me its fine, cause hes at fault, and its also his grandmothers insurance and its not his, she gave him permission to drive her car so now its her fault basically so her insurance is paying, i think he only has to pay only 200 dollars deductable.....

 

Buy the car back when they total it out....simple as that then pull off the salvagable parts and ***** em' out on here....but we wont want cyber kits yO!j/k good luck.

 

the kit is all fine, i didnt even get a chance to have the wing on it yet....... the only thing thats bad on the cyber kit is the rear bumper....... everything else is good....... cant i take the stuff i put on it when they consider it totaled?? i heard i can take whatever i want.....

 

i looked at KBB.com (kelley blue book) and the retail value of my car is a bit over $4,000 but private is only 2,600 i have a feeling their gonna screw me and prob give me less then $2,600

 

I work at a body shop. where do you live and what insurance co is dealing with it. kbb prices are only a guide line and not used soley by the insurance co. they have to do a market evaluation on the car. in other words find examples of you car as close as possible and try to give you a fair price. believe me I deal with insurance co's all the time. let me know what the insurance co decides and i can help you out more.

u can tell the adjuster to give u a check for what they can without totalling the car.they wil give u a check for up to 80 percent if u do it that way.thats what i did with my rex.the adjuster looked at the car and saw i had lots of $ in the car so he gave me a 3000 check and told me to have a good day. i love allstate

you gotta get pics of the car first before anybody can make any assumptions whether the car is really totaled or not.
Besides what year is your crx?
Most you'll get is 2-3k stock for stock.
Aftermarket will not be covered unless you have receipts and the insurance your buddy has at their own discretion to cover it or not!

 

its a 1990 CRX just got 100,000 miles on it 3 weekends ago....... i have pics of the whole car.... i got alot of before pics, and now i have 4 new ones of the rear.. im having a friend come over with his Digital Camera to take like 20 pics of the rear, every angle possible....the attorney told me to take pics of it...... im going to find out monday if my car is totaled or not....... the KBB retail value for my car is 4,000 and something, and the NADA retail value is 3,000 and something... their prob gonna average both of them out, or prob screw me someother way so that i dont get any money....... compared to retail

They will most likely total it like they did mine. My buddy ran in to the back of me and it crushed the rear unibody. Did not look that bad, but they gave me $3700 for it. I then produced my $5000 dollars worth of receipts and they gave me 75% of that . MInus my $500 deductible and the price for me to buy the car back and I got it back stripped it and bought another car. It may work out for the better, just be prepared.

 

i cant find the reciepts!!!! is their a way i can contact the places i bought the things for and see if they have it on record the things that i bought from them..?? and then have them fax it to me, or resend them to me......
