It had GReddy Turbo and it wont drive that long mile.. Maybe Im wrong.. SO that why I want Honda so bad.. I want to know is anyone have experience of PRelude that have any problem.. One of the Honda Mechanic told me not to get Prelude cuz it have electrical problem, transmission problem, and I forgot what else.. SO please tell me if anyone know what the problem? Thanks

I have an 01. No probs here. Hes not a mechanic, but knows his **** about cars.(owns m3 and wheel shop. He said he used to have a prelude as well 4th gen and he thought it was one of the greatest cars he purchased/ anything there is wrong with on that model year, is either under warranty, or has a recall. Btw my friend just got a 02 maxima and we raced on the interstate. He had intake (auto) and stayed on my door 130+ He kept going with it as we arrived upon some light traffic all getting over at my exit. I was impressed with that car

the prelude is a very very nice car. if you dont want a car any faster than about 12-13 seconds, then this is a great choice. IMO, its the nicest looking honda besides the s2k. although it doesnt have as much potential as the new k-series or b-series motors, its still a very nice car. awesome handilng comes with it too. good luck.

if you do get a lude don not buy the sport shift. i know of two people who had problems with them. one bad thing about the preludes is they are NOT drag racers too heavy.

maximas are nice. i like em. but they're not that fun to drive. the prelude wins that one no contest. but these are two completely different cars to compare. as for the prelude auto tranny, my friend had an SS and it failed at 20,000, replaced it, then went out again 6000 miles later and his car was comletely stock, which leads me to suggest to you to avoid an SS at all costs. sorry SS owners, no offense. but it's no contest, the 5 speed is one to get.

i have had no major problems with my prelude. it's been running good since the day i got it.

I appreciate for you guys telling me everything.. (EL_PRESIDENTE) are you trying to telling me SS mean SH right.. Im kinda confuse.. ANyway I know alot about Honda and Acura.. But the reason why I sold my civic cuz my parents worry about me driving this car to 300 miles away from home to school.. That why I sold it and get brand new maxima.. I do like MAxima but I dont like the payment.. So I want to know is the Prelude can handle transportation like far away.. Thanks for helping me..

the SS and SH are two different cars

ss = sport shift, auto
sh = ATTS, manual and a few other different things

you also have the base model with no ATTS and manual, If I was you I would get the Base model. AS far as transportation prelude can handle it I use to drive from VA to FL in my lude every other month with no problem.

um thats a misconception, youd be surprised what a bolt on only prelude can accomplish in the 1/4 mile...theyre not as heavy and slow as you might think
