Any one use Z3 fenders as a functional thing?

Default Any one use Z3 fenders as a functional thing?

Seems like they may be functional for pulling in air. You could route some pipe possibly the way the stock resonantor box is located except go over to the vent. That way your getting some air that isn't being pounded with rain and debris or soaked with heat from the engine. It wouldn't be balanced but you could just have a passanger side one. I'd have to study the engine bay a little better to see how the plumbing could work.

Certainly this wouldn't be ricer.

Just trying to keeps the ideas invigorationg around here.

the vents go the wrong way. it would be about a functional as some HRE wheels: not at all.

the way to route the piping for the air will be twisted and unefficient and those fenders on anything other than the Z3 just looks plain retarded, even if the vents were the right way for our cars.

good thought, just not practical enough..kinda like everyone mentioned. i'm just glad i got my resonator out of my car.. it wasnt til i tried that i learned how far up in the fender cavity that damn thing went.

vw's have been modding their fenders with this vent for a while now...

a guy in Speedline in Virginia Beach used his Z3 fenders for his nitrous purge.

Yeah, I've seen a lot of VW's w/ that fender mod, seems to work well for them.

They always try and get the most HP NO MATTER what, because they relize they have a slow german tuning pos! Sorry Im bitter i use to own a GTi A3 ....VR6 swapped and hatted every single inch of that car Still got some dubber friends who wouldnt change for a bullet though
