Default Question about Civics (girlfriend gonna need a newer car soon)

Which generation civic is most closely related to the integra? what are the generational breakdowns, year-wise? Thanks! only concerned about cars built in the 90s. I know someone has this on the top of their head

92-95 civics are most closely related to 94-00 tegs. You could build a teg out of a 92-95 civic if you really wanted.

The 96-00's have less similarities, but a lot!

If you are gonna fix up the civic, 92-95 is the easiest to fix up.
If you want to give your gf a safe and reliable ride, get 96-00.

Thanks for the replies fellas, I'm pretty sure i could do the basic stuff on any honda at this point, but the more similarities the merrier. I don't know if she can afford a 96 and up, is there any particular reason you frown upon the 92-95s for safety? Thanks again!
