Default '89 Hatchback DX

I have an '89 DX and was wondering on what I should go about doing to the car. I'm new to civics and I'm not sure what to start with. I was wondering if maybe I could put a B16 or maybe a B18 in it but I'm not sure if they would fit. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

lots of guys on this board have that set up. So, yeah they fit.

A good way to find info is searching archived threads. I will try to find some good b16 crx links for you. I have a couple I know for sure.

Good luck

put a B16A (1st generation), its the best bang for you buck and you'll be quick, trust me, my bro has one in his 89 hatch. You'll have to get a whole new wire harness, si knuckles and hubs, but it's all worth it in the end. Oh yea, new water pump and other stuff, just go to hasport.com, you can get all the tips there. My brother and dad did the swap with help from a honda technician. If your gonna do it yourself, have someone there that knows what there doing cuz it wasn't that easy lol. Let me know what you decide. And also get your motor from Hmotorsonline. They are a good company and you get a nice and clean motor!!!!

or you go DOHC ZC. i liked the b16, but hated the idea that i would have tor ev the **** outta my car for power. the ZC has lower compression and has a better torque band, so its real nice for turbo

i would do either zc turbo or LS turbo, those would be the way to go, lots of low end power mated with high end boost, equals alot of power

I don't exactly know! I made it up one night. When I figure it out I will let you know.

Later,
