BLOCK VIN # check please

i just bought a b16a2 block from ebay..and wanted to check on the block to see if it's legit..could anyone please help me before i go forth with paying this person.. the vin # on the block is 1HGEM1153XL060150

If you take it to the DMV they can run it for you. Only reason u have to "take it to them" is so that if it is stolen, they can confiscate it.
