Hey I'm looking for a REAR brake shims...the little thin piece of metal between the caliber and the pad. If you're buying anotehr set of new pads from the dealer, you get a new set of shim...I got mine pads from KVR, no shim..and my old ones ripped apart. Anyways, if you replacing yours and have an old set, please let me know..i need it bad..

When I put new pads on my rear brakes, I don't even think I put the shims back in . At the time, it seemed that they wouldn't fit right, or something, with the pads I bought. You'd probably be perfectly safe without them.

 

they seems to squeak a lot without the shims..right now I don't have the shim and they squeak. With the new KVR pads, i'd like to do it right

 

When I changed pads I never put the shims on, worked fine.
