I own a 98 GSR and am thinking of doing the all motor setup with a 25 or 50 shot (whatever the safeist i can go with) my goal is to run in the 12s and still be daily driver. Im boring the block and doing all internals with skunk 2 stageII cams. Im also gonna have every bolt on possible. Will my car still be reliable and a daily driver?
arg....search
when you say all internals...what exactly do you mean...im sure you changing everything right?
btw...its very hard to run 12s and be reliable unless u got $$$

don't be one of those people that buys all the cheap mods. If you want reliability go with brand names. (mugen, toda, jun, etc.). its going to be tough to get a daily driven 12 second car but its possible. you'll have to do a research and find some people with such setups. If you want to run 12's and be reliable I am thinking your best option is a turbo kit. I am running all motor and have quite a bit of work done but I am not running 12's. your going to have to purchase some slicks as well.....its possible. With cash........let us know your budget. And don't be one of those people who says unlimited. Because its just showing that you really aren't going to do this, your just wondering. Because if it was unlimited. You wouldn't have a 98 GSr....goodluck man
Well, 12s is very fast for any 2700lbs 4cyl. I could be wrong, but I don't think skunk2 stage II will do it. I think you should look towards FI for big HP #s and be ready to spend, spend big.

Im changing to higher compression pistons, stronger rods, a better crank, bore the block, port polish the head (maybe get a b16 head if it will work better), how many angle valve job possible to make my car reliable and faster, better valves, springs, retainers and pretty much all the bolt ons. Im new to honda/acura cars so i dont know to much about the cars performance. The way my budget is working is that im pieceing the car together slowly starting of course with the bolt ons, and never ever am i gonna use cheap parts. All I have on the car now is a skunk2 manifold and all the free mods.

Hey thanks everyone for your advice and all, I think im gonna go forward with building the motor, Im willing to spend whatever to make the car move. Its just trial and error with timeslips. Ill keep you guys posted as the project goes on. By the way what does anyone think of a AEM V2 as opposed to the original or a Type R Airbox?

Are you asking whether a AEM V2 intake will give you more power than a stock intake arm?
