GM Synchromesh: Anyone have problems after using this?
I put 3 fresh quarts in of this stuff. Seemed to work excellent. Maybe it's all in my head or I'm being realy picky but going from 2nd to 3rd it isn't a smooth as 1-2 or 3-4. 2-3 seems like it catches on something for not even a split second.. I think its just in my head but what do you guys think? I've also noticed it's pretty easy to get 3rd out of gear while not pressing the clutch as compred to 4th- and i can also put it in 3rd without engaging the clutch sometimes. Any ideas? I think some of this just might be in my head. lol. If anyone has had any types of problems with BG/GM Synchromesh I'm going to put some honda MTF in.

I'm rockin some Honda MTF. Cheap and OE quality. I only squeezed in 2.5 quarts tho.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Yep, everything felt so much lighter and smoother. It's quite expensive though at about $10 a quart (thats $7 below list)
Honda MTF is definitely a great bang for your buck.

I use redline and have nothing but great things to say about it. Although I have only heard good things about the GM synchromesh. Funny that most of their cars are absolute crap, but they have selected a good gear lube.

I just put in the synchromesh. I drove it a little bit and it felt a lot smoother. Once I drive it harder I'll try to post up if there is anything wierd.
BTW, go to gmpartsdirect.com to get the stuff for $6-$7/bottle.

I'm using royal purple 10w-30 and I don't think it's nearly as good as the redline 10w-30 felt...it gets kinda hard to shift smotthly at high rpm's giving it alot of throttle.
Has anyone had any luck running BG Synchroshift in their trannies? I have come from the DSM crowd, and even though GM Synchromesh and Redline MTL helps over regular gear oil, BG Synchroshift seemed to help even more (almost like a tranny rebuild in a bottle
). I just want to make sure the viscosity of BG was right to use in honda trannies.

You're not supposed to use motor oil in your transmission. Yes you need a lubricant w/ a 10w-30 weight, but not motor oil.

how much fluid are you supposed to put in our trannies? the helms says 2 quarts I thought. I'm about to put in half honda mtl and half synchromesh and I only have 2 bottles, wondering if I need to go buy some more.

No issues with the BG products, that reminds me that I need to pick up some Synchroshift... On another note, their 44K fuel system cleaner is by far the best on the market, one word, AWESOME.
