Default put in a new horn and...

it sounds so weak. i have it all wired right, ground is fine, it's a 130db highway horn. was working for like a day (and was f*ing loud), but now sounds muted. i rechecked all the wiring and checked the fuse.....all okay.

is it possible i need a relay in there since it is drawing more power?

maybe you hooked it up in reverse polarity? The horn isn't grounded through the chassis...

First... Verify that your horn is not the problem. Hook up some test wires to the horn and touch them to the car battery.. If it sounds F'n loud, then its not the horn that's a problem, its a problem with your wiring or your not getting enough juice to your horn.

Take your trusty multimeter and read the voltage drop that comes across the line when you press the horn switch and see what you get.
