Guys, do any of you have this annoying sunroof rattle over harsh roads..It sounds like the whole sunroof assembly is loose and about to fall off or something..is there a way to correct this ?
Please explain.

 

I have the exact same problem but I haven't had a chance to remedy it yet, or even look for the problem. I've noticed before there are some easy to reach screws in the tracks (I think) of the moonroof..

Basically, my plan was to go up there and tighten everything down and hope that solved it.. I don't think it will but it should help.

ANSWER: this problem along with rattling windows and squeeky noises from inside the cabin habe plagued us since the G3 arrival.. the answer to the sunroof chatter is to lubricate it heavily with white lithium grease, you can buy this at any local hardware store, but make sure you get white litium grease in the spray form.. not the gunk form.. with the spray you can get into those hard to reach spots.. while applying the lube please spray from inside the cabin on to the tracks, then repeat this from all angles while opening and closing the sunroof.. hope this helps! it worked for me

 

Oh, yes, that should help with the sunroof lurching when opening/closing.. I thought he was talking about the actual rattle the sunroof makes when you're just cruising along.

Maybe he was talking about both.. but.. yeah. There's brown nasty grease in my sunroof tracks now, it looks like ****. I hope the other grease will cover it up or something..

 

just lube that baby up and the rattle will be gone! worked for me!

 

IntegraPoweR-you also mentioned the fact of the squeeky/rattly interior panels. Is there a fix that you know of for this? These noises just blain *bug* me. Any replies are greatly appreciated.

 

I thought I read somewhere on the Net, about a TSB that Acura replaced some bushings or something. I have the same problem, but my bike rack doesn't let me open my sunroof!

 

still under warranty? take it to the dealer. a year ago mine was rattling when I hit a bump and when opening. they fixed the opening problem but not when I hit a bump. They said they have to remove the whole assembly. never got that done. actually it starting to rattle again when I open it. time to go back, I guess.
