Default Has anyone dynoed their H23 STOCK?

Well, I am having my clutch FINALLY changed. The shop that is doing it has a dyno there too. I figure I will break in my clutch and then have them dyno it while it is stock before I throw on my mods (K&N airfilter, DC Sport CC header, Carsound cat, and Thermal exhaust). After I put on all my mods I am going to dyno it again to see if there are any increase. (Good thing about this whole situation is that these were items that the car need replaced anyways.)

Any ideas what I should expect to see out of my stock H23 with 157K miles?? At this point, I am not too concerned about how much hp it puts out. I just want to get it out on the track.

Thanks

I'd be interested to know, especially if you did the header by itself - heard so many different opinions about whether the DC does anything for the SI.

Do you really have to break the clutch in for dyno though, its not like you're doing a high rev launch on a dyno

I dynoed my H23 before I pulled it out to swap in my H22a. It was completely stock with 123,000 miles on it. 143hp and 146lbs/of torque. I recently dynoed my H22 before I pulled it out to rebuild it and came up with 162hp and 149lbs of torque. Only problem I relized after the dynos was that they were at 2 different places the the H23 numbers are not SAE corrected. Again both engine were stock.

Sup folks...

Well I've been a lurker around here for a little while....looks like this is a good time of a 1st post as any. Here's a dyno from my (ex) 92 Si 4WS with about 170k on it at the time. Head here:

And, in case anyone's wondering, here's where all my money goes:

Glad I could help man....

Hopefully I'll be able to contribute more around here these days instead of just lurkin'. Y'all will probably start to get some questions from me too as I tear apart what once was an H23-VTEC. I had a Satan_SRV-style meltdown from the looks of it.
