i'm thinking since i know a f23/f22 tranny will work in a H22 it should bolt up with a H23 right?

I'm unsure because the H23 sorta different and perhaps all the bolts may not line up with the tranny case and block.

 

From my knowledge it should bolt up with no problem. F & H series motors and transmissions are all interchangeable, with the only difference being the gear ratios.

 

don't know if this helps but i know a guy with a F23 motor and a H23 5spd tranny. bolted right up, no problems. if it works in one direction it should work the other way.

Now why you find the F23 auto tranny desireable I can't imagine....

 

Which h and f series transmission have the best gear ratios?

 

F tranny has the longest gearing...then the H23 Tranny...and then the short gearing H22 tranny designed to stay in vtec...or for vtec

 

What about an h22block/h23tranny with honda to keep in vtec???
