ok, the first week that i got my 2000 gsr, some truck backs in to me while my car was parked. it left some big *** scratches on my bumber from the truck's tow hook. the assh@#$ left the scene. two weeks later my was hit again, but this time really bad on the driver side door. i had to report the incident to the insurance, cause it was pretty bad. the *** who did it also left the scene. i got the car back lookin beautifull. the front bumber was fixed and the door. 2-3 weeks later i go to the hot import nights show in atlantic city, i come back to my car and it had not 1, but 3 dings on my pass side. Now 2 weeks ago, i wake up and my front bumber is all scratched on the left side (someone hit me once more). Last night i parked my freaking car on a hill and guess what my **** is all messed up. some ******* backed into me i guess. i'm so damn pissed with all these none drivers.

 

Where do you live? Cause I dont wanna bring my car there....

Getting your car hit always sucks.. when I first got my old, used, not new, 94 teg I was pissed when I would find dings and stuff in the doors. It doesn't really get to me that much because there hasn't been that much damage since I've owned it.. but I'm a lot more accepting to what happens to my car then before.

This kind of pissed me off though, I'm getting an estimate today.



However, 1) She's hot 2) She gave me her phone number and 3) She's paying for it /all/ in cash. So I'm getting a 98+ bumper..

My car got hit today, I wish i would of saw the ****** who did it. I dont think they would of gotten away so easily.

yup, its getting routine for my car too...a few dings, scratches and dents here and there all caused by idiots who don't give a $hit about other ppl's cars or a just plain blind/stupid....these unfortunate incidents accumulate over the period of a year...I spent about $600 last month on bumper repaints and door ding fixes (and almost as much last year)...I expect this to be a yearly maintenance price

I feel your pain. I was in the mall for honestly 20 minutes and I come out (I always do an inspection of my car for that reason) and what do I find on the near the front bumber lens? A nice scratch w/ a minor ding. I wouldnt be so mad, but the new PAINT JOB is only 4 months old!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

 

Nerdish, what kind of exhaust is that? Is it loud?

 

The thing I am most mad about is this. My car has no scratches or paint flaws. Its a 96 gsr that is in the most beautiful condition. I wax the car every month and wash it every week. HOW IN THE WORLD can anybody not see a BRIGHT RED car sitting in the middle of the parking lot? 2 minutes out of my site and the ******* car got hit. Ohhhh man, I better not find the person responsible for this. I HATE ALL BODY SHOPS, cause nobody can paint as good as the factory.

evil, sorry to hear that. Even for me I try to park far from everyone.

I went to Jones beach yesterday and parked in a spot with like 2 empty spots on my left and right sides. When I came back I only found one dodge caravan parked like 1 spot away from me, but the whole time I was on the sand I was thinking that I'd return to find some old mamas Caddilac next to my car...whew, anyhows its tough keeping your car in mint shape, but luckily for me I never had any incidents in parking lots.

 

The funny thing is this. I think this damage occured at a local food store. I was going inside to get a bagel in the morning before work. The parking lot was empty. Nobody was around my car or near it when i came out of the store. Thats the most fucked up thing about this whole situation.

Always park near a curb or light pole. People who have their head up their *** can usually see those things when they can't see your car.
Curbs can protect up to 2 sides of your car.

Always look for the lay of the parking lot and park uphill to avoid shopping carts.

Get used to walking a long way in the parking lot. Park near what are obviously employee cars, since they're going to be inside for a while.
Don't hog spaces (unless you can make it look like you just ooched over the line some while you were turning into the space).
Space hogs, particularly those who park longitudinally across three and up to six spaces engender retaliation quite often.

Look to see how fucked up the cars near you are. If they look like ****, they don't care about their car and won't care about yours.

 

I think it was a hit and run!

I've walked down the streets of my residential neighborhood and often seen old ladies and just incompetent people parallel park, and they keep backing up until they hit you, then they move forward.
