recall on 98 itr????????
whats up everybody.
my friend is looking at a cw itr 1998 at a acura dealership. asking
25000$ canadian so like 17 000 $ us with 90 000 km or like 60 000 miles. Say they had to replace the entire engine 10 000 km which is like 6000 miles ago due to a recall. But ive been all over the net and cant seem to find any recalls made by honda concerning the type r. Can u guys help me out.
Also, what do u guys thinks about the price worth it or not? he said throw in oe underbody kit for free. plus im sure we can still play with the price. Should we trust him if he says BRAND new engine, maybe rebuilt but dealer says no.
Thanks everybody

i don't think there was a recall, but if there was an engine replacement, there should be all kinds of paperwork and documentation of the swap and when it occured. I'm thinking that you could definitely find this info because it's at an Acura dealer.
Maybe the guy meant to say a warranty replacement. that makes more sense to me... good luck though

Hey
I would ask to see what was wrong with the car and why it was brought in and had to have a new motor put in. Ask for all the paper work on when and why it had to get redone and ask then see if it was a brand new motor or it was machined.
thats just my 2 cents
i have never herd anything about any recall
