i noticed that the floor right behind my front seats moves if u push up from underneth the car and if u push from inside the car it also pushes down a bit i do not see any signs of rust from underneth or on the inside?? my question is..... is this normal...... or is it rusted under all the tar.... or is the metal just that thin in that spot???? any info will help thanks

it would be helpful if someone could check their hatchback and see if your car does the samething

 

mine does that...my guess the metal is thin.

 

Mine is solid. I would be a little nervous if it moved cause that sounds a little dangerous.

well i remember in both the 88 sundance i grew up in when my dad would drive over hard as ice snow that looked like itll rip the exhaust i could SEE the floor in teh back bent in! i have driven in fresh snow with teh rex i could feel it move a bit
the body rails are stiff but the floorpans just thin metal.
