New CF Hoods - Some Picts For Yah (Sorry 56k'ers)
Lines up with fender really well
Lines up on both sides
No gap/over-bite up front
So far, it's been holding up to some 80+ mph freeway driving
Clean semi-rolled edges
Just some picts of the new CF hoods that we're carrying and selling. Not bad for an "under $300 CF hood" and I'll be getting one for my EK and DA, so I'll have picts for those up shortly. Enjoy.

pretty clean! is it under 3bills for a 3rd gen teg too? my current cf hood is faded bad and the latch broke off recently

Oh yeah... sorry, forgot to add -- we're now carrying the hoods now and they all come with holes already pre-drilled (well, this one did) for the windshield squirters, and pretty much all Honda models are available (well, pretty much all except for the old, old skool models, no EF ZC or EF SiR models, and no 02+ Si just yet). Yes... same price for all of the hoods, but $10 more for Prelude & Accord hoods (dunno why, but that's what they gave us), and the more "popular" hoods, like the EG & EK hoods, like to sell out faster and are on back order more often
.
BTW, I posted up in another forum some picts of the EG CF duckbill wing that we also have.... same company that makes the hood so you can get an idea of how the weave and fitment looks - https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=520050

It should fit the 4-door EG cars just the same. I say that because the hood that was originally on the red coupe there was from a maroon EG sedan, so there's no difference in the hoods from what I can see... only the corners, bumpers, fenders, and mirrors. Even the rear bumpers between coupes & sedans are the same (because the rear EG coupe/sedan lips we sell fit on both).... go figure.

lets have some better shots of the weave... maybe some comparison between yours and the VIS?!?!?!
That latch looks very sturdy!

Honestly, I need a better digital camera to take picts of the weave. My Canon Elph Powershot S200 takes great picts, and is nice & compact to take places, but really doesn't do to well on extreme close up picts (if somebody out there has the same camera and can give me some advice, please do), but the weave between the two looks almost identical..... the VIS weave looks almost further apart while the "JDMshit" brand looks closer together. Check out my other post on the CF duckbill wings... VIS versus the same brand for the hoods and that should give you some idea - https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=520050

umm. just to let you know before you have unhappy customers. 92-95 civics.... 2 door and 3 door (coupe and hatch) hoods are the same. everything up front is.. the 4 door sedans. hoods are about an inch longer. i know this from experience. i drive a 94 hatch, my girl drives a 95 4 door ex. just to let you know... 2/3 door and 4 door are different. corners, bumpers, hoods, fenders, none are universal. the lips might be though?
and im not sure how the fitment is between coupe and sedan for the ek? just to help you out. nice looking hood by the way. only thing is... good to about 80mph.. most of us go A LOT faster than 80mph at one time. and what is up with "semi rolled" edges? can you see where the plies meet on the edges? looks like all of that fiberglass framing underneath would make it heavy. fiber images has just an outer shell... they are light as crap.

I should have some picts next week of a DA hood and EK hood on my cars.... don't know if I'll keep the hood for my DA since it looks like it won't go well with my color/wheel scheme but I'll put it on just to take picts and to see how the fitment is on it.

waiting for ek pics
