Hey whats up, today was my first day out at the track with my s2000 and for the first half of the day i could not launch the car if you put my life on it, pulling 2.4 60 fts over and over again with crazy wheel spin or having the rpms shoot down to 3k and take forever to get going. As the day progressed i learned about my baby a whole lot more and got my launch down perfect. My two best times were as follows....

The 1/8th mile marker was not working in the right left lane so on my 13.9 i didnt get an 1/8 mile time but thats not a big deal...

i was happy with these results, im hoping to eventually beat my 13.8 that i got in my integra (ls-t). CAI is on the way but im still iffy about using it...

hey its still got 13.9 in it, lol... Thats all my goal was, to hit a 13 second pass, i would of taken 13.999. Also what are other peoples 60 ft times, with my 2.146 i still feel room for improvement has anyone gotten 2.0's and what was your technique?

 

just curious man.. when you pulled 2.4's, what were your trap speed?

i was watching super 2nr tv. and they tested the 2fast 2 furious cars, just to see how fast and furious they really were. the pink s2000, with supercharger ran a 13.9. i dont if thats much of any relevance, but i saw s2000, and 13.9, and i just thought of that.

 

that sucks for that pink s2000, it prob wasn't driven correctly

 

I dumped the clutch about 75% of the way at 7k than wait for it to catch after a split second, than let off and went, stayed in vtec the entire time

 

damn, 13.9 is the highest ive seen for an s2k thats bone stock. good times. good driving.

 

some dude over on club s2ki went 13.88 on a stock 02 with a 2.0 60 ft. Its all about the launch, i could not get anything better than a 14.4 for a good portion of the day, by the way i was going through at about 98 when i had the 2.3-2.4 60 fts.

wrong. numerous stock s2k's run 13.8 too.

 

That's interesting. I went to the track two weeks ago in my 2003 with 2500 miles. I side stepped the clutch at 6000 rpm and also got a 2.1 60 ft time. However, my run was a 14.48 @ 94 mph. What rpm do you shift at and what was the weather like? I pulled the 14.48 on a 100 degree day shifting right after one blink on the tach.

 

first-second, second-third i shifted at about 8900 id say, i would shift right before it blinked, seemed to yeild a slightly higher mph... Shift quiker that might be your problem.
