Price of ITR's dropping?
I'm in the market for a new car, seeing as how I just sold h22'd EK. I'm in no rush to purchase a new car, but I would like an ITR. I can wait up to a year. Do you project the price of the ITR's falling? Or will they remain somewhat steady over the next year? Thanks for the insight guys.

itrs are very limited in quantity.
imho, the prices will drop, as those who do not know the value of their own cars sell.
find the right yuppy, and you can pick up a 2000 ITR for 15k.
alot has to do with the condition of the car as well.
for the main part, i do see the price of the ITR dropping, but very slowly, for the next few years atleast.

Eh.. I own an R and i think the price will continue to drop.
Its a limited production that has almost nothing to back it up. No verified production number. The number on the plaque means dick. *shrugs*
When I list my 01 ITR in a month or so, I'll be happy to get 18k for it. And thats only with 23k miles.

i think that a mint/non-modded type r with less than 20k miles on it could go for as much as 21000. if you find a buyer that loves that car they would purchase it for sure. not car is a better one the the itr for $21k + plus they depreciate slowly so reselling them after two years, one does not take a big hit in the wallet!!!

I just did a quick search on autotrader.com and didnt see any 2001 ITRs under $20,000.
I think a lot of ITRs are being sold right now because some people want to stepup to a newer car, and lots of people are losing their job or cant find a job. I'm betting its just a shakeout, and when the economy gets back on track, ITR prices will stabalize or drop very slowly.

Supply and demand. In the past 3-6 months i've seen more ITR's up for sale than were seen in the year or so before that. Why? who knows, theft/insurance/new cars coming out?
Yeah I plan on keeping mine regardless. I have a 2000 that just turned 20k miles, and theres no way I would get rid of it for less than 20k. I would so rather keep it if that were the case, but I do understand many people with ITR's have unfortunate situations with the recent economy and job market, and you gotta do what you gotta do I guess
With the introduction of new models like the STi and the Evo along with others, the price will drop more rapidly than it did before these models came out. Just make sure you do a real good search for the Integra that you want b/c you can find a price that's right for you as long as you look really hard.
I don't know if the presence of the Evo and STi will affect the price of the ITR, as they're in a class above, both performance-wise and price-wise. If the Neon SRT4 was more well-liked, that could possibly, because it's a very similar type of car, something to actually compete with the R.
I'm buying a 2000 black ITR with 20k on it for 18.5....not a ding or scratch on the car....look around enough and you can find a deal.
I could easily turn around tomorrow and sell this car for over 20 grand.

And generally people earn more money as they get older, and step up to faster/better cars.

Here's my car and I think the price is dropping out for them. Face it they do look dated and there are MUCH better cars out there. I feel as the competition increases the demand for a R will decrease.

I dont think that the R's price is dropping....maybe people are just in a rush to sell their cars and settle for a lower sale price. I sold my R about a month ago...and got real close to my asking price (I wanted $23k and took $22600). It was a 01 PYR with almost 27k miles, a good bit of mods and in excellent shape. It took me 5 weeks to sell. The 22600 was as low as I would go.....period. The R is a rare car if one guy doesn't buy it the next serious buyer will. Good luck on your sales, Mark.
