Pressures for wet auto-x
Sunday has about a -50% chance of being sunny here in CT, so I might as well stop hoping for dry and learn to deal with the wet. Last time was my first time on Azenis, and I ran 42/46, and this time I was planning to do the opposite and run 45/37 and go from there. Of course, I'm still learning technique and all, so I managed to understeer w/ 42/46 due to engaging the ABS from going too hot into a corner. But ignoring my lack of skill
, how does rain factor in? I don't expect much standing water (unless its pouring), but I expect the tires to break loose earlier, before rolling over. Which I interpret as: I can bump the tire pressures down 5 psi or so on all 4 corners. Am I correct in this assumption? Thanks for your input.

In my experience 3-5psi less all around will give you more tire on the higher slip angles you will experience with a wet surface. Since you are not generating as much grip due to the wet surface you have to compensate somehow. It would be like the difference of autocrossing on concrete (which you have to run higher pressures since you have more grip so to prevent roll over and keep the contact patch constant) to running on cured asphalt which has lower overall grip.
