Hey guys, i live in so cali and I need tips on hiding an intercooler or else the CHP will own me! When I installed it, i had to cut out the OEM grill in order to fit it, some people say to jus buy chickenwire at home depot and spray paint it white, but that is not my taste at all and I wanna keep my car lookin smooth. Do you guys have any ideas? please help.

still would look obvious especially with piping coming from it. Besides, black isnt good in hot weather conditions. California in the summer=104 degrees!

the new bandwagon for pic post titles
One pic 21K in size wouldn't even clog up a 9600 baud connection

Wrong please dont give out false information...painting it black will NOT effect efficiency.

I have not had any direct experience from doing it, but have been directed away from doing so by many well known tuners....
but either way why dont many people sell I/C's black in the first place....?
black absorbs heat... your trying to dissapate more of it.
on top of that you will now have layers of paint on top of your aluminum I/C therefore taking away from the effectivness of the material thats its made out of in the first place
sorry if im off on my understanding... im on some good ****, i just had teeth pulled today

no i have not....the only problem you would encounter on the dyno is "heat soak" either way painted or not, you will see a loss on the dyno.

yea the dyno is not the place to test effictiveness of an I/C anyways, no airflow for it in the first place

black does not absorb heat sorry...black absorbs light which turns into heat.
IC dont come painted because there is no reason to paint it by the makers. Why do you think stock radiators come in black?
