Ok, so i always hear of topics like "code 17" or "ecu is throwing codes" something like that, so i checked out mine today and i get nothing. i guess that is supposed to be good, but i know for a fact that the thermostat is not working properly.
so how accurate is this "code" thing?
i get one blink of light on the ecu when i turn the key twice, and nothing once the engine is started.
what exactly does the ecu throw codes for?
also, can someone give me a link to a website where all the codes are displayed?

that's b/c your thermostat isn't hooked up to a sensor... the ecu is smart but it can't diagnose every little thing that goes wrong with your car...
one blink when you first start the car is just to show that the ecu works. if u didnt get this blink, you'd probably have a bad ecu or bad ecu wiring.
and like someone else said, the thermostat isnt hooked up to a sensor, so the ecu wont flash any codes if its bad.
the ecu throws a code for anything on this list: http://www.crxconnection.com/engine/ecucodes.html
