What is involved in this - and more importantly - what do I win?
EDIT: Nevermind - I read the HyperFest link ...I thought it was who had the best motorswap - I don't feel inclined to pull my motor just yet.

there were only 8 TT drivers in the "drivers meeting" at Beaverun.....i doubt too many more will be at summit..... you need to be HPDE3 or better to get it.
I should be there with my Evolution.

I'm going to try my best to make it. The house closing's scheduled for right around then, therefore I might be out.
We'll see.

And back at Summit. Talk about getting back on the same horse that threw you. Remember, no flat-footing it through Turn 10 this time

Sorry dude. If I have to choose between our new pad and traveling 5 hours to Summit Point, I choose the house!
Don't worry. VIR will come soon enough.
Jason-
who can't wait to race his "new car" on his home track!

Are they really doing HPDE 1, or just the Hyper drives like at BeaveRun? When I think of HPDE 1, I think of a full day of 3 or 4 20min sesions on track with 3 or 4 classroom sestions also. Hyper drives are just 1 quick class with 1 session on the track, they don't learn as much as a full HPDE 1 would. Anyway I would like to know, I have some friends who might want to come up.

I read the TT info page and it seem that HPDE2solo drivers are also allowed to enroll.
What's the difference between HPDE2 and HPDE2solo? If I get bumped up to HPDE2 after the Summit Point HPDE in June, I may consider trying out TT.

There is a small group of people who have prettymuch been signed off to move to group 3, but have elected to stay back in group2 for a more relaxed pace.
-- and to the people who keep asking... they wouldn't be calling it HPDE1 if it weren't an HPDE. This is clearly different from the hyperdrives.

Summit Point fills up so quickly in HPDE1 that this gives newbies another shot at a close track - I believe the June event is full- at least that's what Laura said a few weeks ago...
2 SP NASA events within 3 weeks of each other.

No more crazy car flipping? ..bummer.
The last time at Summit Point it was real cool. Met some cool H-Ters.

Thinking about HPDE
What is the field size going to be?
Also, I looked but maybe I just missed it, how many/long sessions are there per day?
