Default type r cams in b16 head?

ok i finished my b16 swap and its been running good for a day. my type r cams and cam gears from my old motor are in the b16 head now and vtec kicksin nice, hard and loud, but i was told that the b16 head is going mess up because the type r cams are too aggressive for the b16 head and i am supposed to upgrade the valves and springs. is this tru is my head going to mess up?

by the way this is a 1st gen b16.

you dont have to upgrade, but it would be a very good idea to do your valves and springs.

That depends on what your redline is set to. With the stock valvetrain I would not go past 8,200rpms. The R cams can make power up to 8,400rpms so you won't get the full potential from them but its not going to make that much of a difference. If you plan to rev to 8,400rpms then you will need to upgrade the valvetrain. Only the springs are necc. at 8,400rpms, if you plan to rev higher then you will need to change the valves as well. R valves will allow you an additional 200rpms. HTH.
