Your friend needs to check his facts. The CTR is not currently on honda's 2004 US dealer list.

we live in america, the place of old people, baby mommas and avril laveneeeeee. at least thats how the marketers see it. thats why we get shitted on when it comes to performance cars. they dont think grandma wants to goto the grocery store at 8,400RPMS.
and by the way. somthing that pissed me off this morning. i saw this old *** lady (2nd time i've seen her) doing at least 15 mph under the speed limit ( typical grandma driving) in a milano red GSR.
now im not saying anyone else should speed, but she doesnt need that power! give her a d15b2 and she wouldent tell a differance!! its like diping a popsicle in hot chochlate. old people/retards in fast cars dont mix.

But our point is we have heard that the DC5-R and the CTR were coming here from about 80 other people before you came along. They also claimed that the information was somehow had from the "inside" of Honda.
It is like crying wolf. We aren't going to believe anything anymore until the wolf rips our faces off...

Article in Motor Trend mag last month first drive impressions praised the civic R.
quote "Honda hasn't publicly said type R is coming to the U.S.-but we say it's a done deal."On sale in U.S.fall 2003 as '04 model

The whole CTR is coming, CTR is not coming argument is funny, because there is evidence for either argument.
Coming
-Motortrend Article
-Tom Elliot talked about the possibility a year ago or so
-Various 'Honda' sources
Not Coming
-No announcement in dealer model sheet
-CTR not produced in USA so Honda personnel working in factories like Ohio probably would not know
-Magazines have been saying both R vehicles were coming for over a year
My guess is that at least one of the R vehicles will make it over here. At the same time I wouldn't be surprised if they just offered the FP kit and called it a day. In the latter case, I will be leading a hate mail campaign against American Honda.

CTR seem to be the one since American Honda wants the kiddie image out of Acura.
I did hope for DC5R since now use to Acura dealer fine treatment and I am too old for the Honda kiddies who hangs out at Honda dealers.
