Default quick steer steering rack for EF9

Just wondering what my options are in replacing my steering column for smaller turning radius and of course for quick steering (autox'ing)besides getting a smaller steering wheel to help.

I thought I heard that the rack out of the 88-91 CRX HF was quicker than the hatches. That may have been false information, but it would not hurt to check it out.

I had heard the same, but had a couple people with HFs count their turns lock to lock, and its the same as my 89 STD, 3.9 turns.

Brian at http://www.FastBrakes.Com was working with Quaife to make quick rack guts for the 4th, 5th and 6th generation Civics, and they were looking at 15 turns lock to lock. Sounded like things weren't going to be that expensive either. Hit him up guys, as I think he might be more motivated if he sees that there is a large amount of interest for it.

i dont get that statement but maybe later in a PM you can explain this to me?

if you want quicker steering you will want to get the HF steering rack out of the 88-91 crx (preferably 88, i think they are lighter) the dx and the si both have the same radius'. go with the HF steering rack and you will be happy!

WOW! 15 turns lock to lock.

I'm assuming you meant 1.5 turns. I'd definitely be interested in a faster rack for my EK.

What 15:1 and 19:1 refers to is the steering ratio. The turns lock to lock on the 19:1 is 3.9, and the turns lock to lock on the 15:1 would be 3.1. That is a considerable increase in the steering speed.
