I've got a '95 Civic EX... but it's an automatic. Would it be stupid to pimp it out? (i.e. rims, body kit, etc...)

 

No do what u want what's the diff. with a standard with rims or a auto with rims?

Yeah but if I ever wanna race it, I can't. Most pimped out cars are ones that are street raced or ish like that, wouldn't it be stupid if I did that with a car without a stick?

 

You can make it look good and you don't have to race it. Just don't make it look like a pumped up racer. Just keep it looking clean.

 

i feel ur pain man mines 95 ex auto too.. i feel ur pain... it doens't have to be super fast to win unless you drag so just have fun with the car. just cause tis auto dun mean it cna't look good.

 

Go pimp it out! Its ur car, do whatever u want to it. Its not going to be as fast or as fun to drive as a 5speed would, but i say go do it!

 

Naw naw...pimp it out. The honda auto tranny will hold a good bit of power...small shots of NOS, low boost turbo, supercharger...and as long as you are easy on it..it should last.

Once you get past that..and want more performance...swapping a manual tranny isnt *that* hard.

Well, If your hardcore...you could always to a auto-manual swap...Alternatively, go with a B18b WITH ls Auto tranny...

Automatic Transmission shift way faster and are the **** on Boost...The only problem is that noone has built an Auto for a Honda that holds power. Otherwise everyone would be using them. Seriously...

You can cut an incredible 60ft with the combination of a auto shifting trans and RWD. This is why M. Acousta is building his new Civic w\ a S2000 Motor and aPRo Shifted Trans and RWD...I bet hes the fastest Civic out there.

I will be the first to say...I own a honda and love it. But FWD sucks in every aspect of motorsports. Even AWD sucks when you get to the track. RWD owns in every way...Its all about weight transfer.

Buschur Racing cut a 1.25 in their RWD Automatic 2G Eclipse. (8.5X@15X)
Powerhouse Racing cut a 1.35 in their RWD Automatic Supra (8.98@154)
Sound Performance cut a 1.45 in their RWD Auto Supra (9.54@144)

These big boy Honda are making more power than alot of these Supras and ****...but they just cant get it to the ground.

PS: Don't pay attention to ET's, Trap Speeds show how much power a car makes...ETs take driver skill, and traction into account.

 

Buy an S2000 or an NSX then. I think a person like you will love the NSX with it's mid-engined, RWD, all aluminum big poppa of all Hondas...I certainly do!

 

I believe Level 10 will 'pimp out' your A/T if you want them to .
