Default synthetic or convertional oil with KAAZ LSD

my tranny is starting to feel notchy during high RPM shifts

i'm currently running castrol 80/90 conventional gear oil with LSD additive. would it benefit me to upgrade to amsoil synthetic 80/90 gear oil with LSD additive to ease some of the "notchy"/hard shifts?

You should use KAZZ LSD gear oil because they are meant for clutch-type LSDs.

well, i'm not going to buy KAAZ oil. i called the KAAZ USA supplier, and he said that all i need is 80/90 gear oil with LSD additive from autozone.

well, i did that, and everything has been great until my last autoX. i know the oil needs to be changed, so i'm wondering if it's worth it to use synthetic

75w-90 or 75w-80 GL5 gear oil for FWD trannies

Ford friction modifier for FWD is a plus if you'd like but not mandatory.

So the friction modifier is OK for the Kaaz?

Exactly what I use. During winter months I put in 1 qrt of ATF fluid with the 75w-90.

I've used both. No difference that I noticed. I just used the Valvoline stuff I found at Meijer. Try the syn and if you don't like it, switch to the conventional

I always use the Kaaz Fluid w/ my Kaaz lsd. Peace of mind and they are just down the street from me so getting it isn`t a problem.

well, i put amsoil synthetic 80/90 in it this weekend. the crap that came out was BLACK. needless to say, the difference was night and day. smooth, crisp shifts are back at all RPMs.

why was it black? do you have a leak somewhere? tranny fluid should not change colors.

actually yes, i did notice that my interm shaft tranny seal is leaking slightly.

with the KAAZ LSD and the wet clutch style i expect as the plates wear the fluid will change color
