What are signs of injectors going bad?
With my current set up I am pushing the limits of my stock 240cc injectors. I am planning on VAFC and some new injectors, but they will have to wait until Christmas. What could happen if my injectors go bad before then? What signs should I be on the lookout for? Thanks for any help.
BTW I posted this question in the TECH forum a few days ago and never got a response.

Signs of Bad INjectors:
1. Pregnant master cylinder
2. Cops show up asking if your injectors were home all night the night before.
3. Stereo, other parts missing, injectrors act like nothing is wrong.
4. At the track in a race, you lose power right before the finish, cannot find a cause. The next week, injectors have new O rings and a makeover from RC engineering.

If you think your 240 injectors are going bad, you may want to get a different ecu rather than only a VAFC. This will help tuning and will give you exact read outs of the duty cycle and such. Plus you will probably need to replace the VAFC at some time if you plan on further mods, so save $300 and don't buy the VAFC but invest in a better ecu. just my $.02
High Exhaust Gas Temps, (related) Knock/Ping/Detonation, Melted Pistons, Burnt Valves, Warped Head/Block, etc.. get some cheap Fords, DSMs, etc. before you need to spend more later to rebuild, then sell the cheapos when you have the $ for some RC 310s, etc. you don't want to have an injector fail and/or run too lean. spend a lil now, or risk losing a lot and spending much more (time and $) later.
