Normally i go with 205/55/15... this time i'm dropping to 205/50/15 but what i'm wondering is will a wider tire do me any good on the stock rims? Say a 215 size tire? Will this give me any added traction since its wider, or will the pinching of the tire level out any advantages?

What's the width of your stock rims? If it's 6", stick with 205; it's already pushing the limit. If it's 6.5", 215 might be OK. Go to http://www.tirerack.com and look under their Tech section. Very useful info there.
