Default 4th gen tranny gearing Question

Hey, i've done some searches from the archives, and it seems quite unclear...

Does anyone know for a fact whether the JDM and USDM 4th gen H22 tranny gear ratios are the same or different? (M2A4/M2B4 vs M2F4) Some claim that the JDM is shorter, while some say they are the same. Anyone have a solid answer, and perhaps the correct ratios? Thanks in advance...

I have a USDM 4th gen swap in my car, and i blew the tranny. I then bought a JDM 4th gen tranny and it made me faster in the 1/4. The gears are longer by 5 mph 2nd-4th and i gained 15 mph in 5th gear. So i guess JDM 4th gen tranny is a bit longer.

Wait, are you saying the jdm tranny gave you a quicker E/T? If this were the case, it would most likey have shorter gearing.

Here are some links, not sure how correct they are but they list the final drive ratios for both and they are different.

This one is suppose to be the JDM Lude it even has the individual gear ratios.

This is the USDM , just has final drive ratio , The temple of Vtec used to have all the ratios up but I don't know of anywhere else.

so now you may have half of the puzzle
