I am new to the wonderful world of imports. Not to mention a big dumb white guy, who's idea for a good exhaust system is a couple of flowmasters hooked up to a full-size Chevy truck. ANYWAYS...I just bought an 03 Accord Coupe V6 6speed, and I haven't seen any cat-back systems (yet). I have 2 Q's...are the cat-backs better than just a universal muffler? And; I don't want a riced out sound, i.e. not a 1000 angry bees trapped in a coffee can. I'd like to have a nice deep, rich sound coming from my car. Remember, it is a dual set up as well. I really do appreciate the opinions of those who know a hell of a lot more than i do!
don't put one on. that exhaust is already very nice looking and supposedly is failry free flowing according to honda. when it becomes available i would suggest comptech. they made the best exhuast for the 98-02 V6s. i would certainly spend money on a AEM CAI and suspension before i bought an exhaust though.
universal's good as long as you have good exhaust shop you can trust...
hell, if you want, you can even slap on couple of flowmaster deltaflows with mandrel-bent 2.5 custom pipings...
but before exhaust, i would really consider intake option...

thanx...i already have the AEM CAI on order...(on "back" order i should say)...and i also have the eibach 1.4 inch drop...i'd like to go lower, w/ no coilovers
. i've also got it on carbon colored 5 spoke 18's. the car is silver...as soon as i get the chance i'll get some pics up. it's pretty clean looking so far. i really appreciate the help!!

Hey SixSpeeder...welcome to H-T.
I see your from HB...nice place...wish i was back down in OC. I actually miss seeing blue sky up here in Pasadena.
I think V6's come with it stock but you might also try getting a strut-tower bar to firm up the turns. Mine was the best $25 bucks I spent so far...

Yeah, it comes with a cheezy little black one up front, i'd still like to upgrade, i'd also like to get a lower strut bar for the rear...how did you get yours so cheap?? i've seen them for no cheaper then 70 bucks! (DCSports) are the DCsports ones any better?...or would i just be paying for them to machine their name onto the same product?
You probably mean a lower sway bar or lower tie bar, but if i were you i would check the size of your rear sway bar and then see if the CL-S bar will fit and if it is bigger. On the question about exhaust. I do not know about the 03 v6 accords but on my 01 i have a tanabe hyper medallion and it seems to help performance wise just judging with the butt dyno, and it has a really mellow tone and does not sound like "a 1000 bees"
